Clariant introduces dyes with higher light fastness for cars

Fabric suppliers to the automotive industry can now use Clariant's Foron AS-3L dyes to minimize colours change due to light exposure. Correct use of these dyes results in far higher light fastness ratings at four to ten cycles of the German standard DIN 75202, according to the Swiss company. With Foran AS-3L dyes, fabric producers can optimize their production by dyeing more articles to the high specifications of the car manufacturers. They are also able to shade off-standard spin-dyed polyester fibres by either over-dyeing or by blending with exhaust dyed fibres. This should allow the fabric supplier to meet the standards of the automotive industry, not only from the performance point of view, but also with respect to just-in-time deliveries.
