As stated this website is home to the Open Metadata Registry (OMR), formerly the NSDL (National Science Digital Library) registry. This statement is dated as of 2010.06.08. The purpose of the OMR is to "provide a means for to identify, declare and publish through registration their metadata schemas (element/property sets), schemes (controlled vocabularies) and Application Profiles (APs)." Additional detailed information can be found under the About link in the top right corner of the home page.
