Rubber: Novel Polyolefin Bondable Adhesive

Master Bond Inc. offers a unique one part elastomeric polyolefin based adhesive targeting the tough-to-bond PE and PP applications. Master Bond's single component X17 system, designed for bonding polyolefins and its copolymers and blends are simple to use and easy to apply without surface pretreatment. The synthetic elastomer-based adhesive has a unique balance of peel and shear properties when bonding polyolefin and related substrates to each other, and also functions as an effective polyolefin surface primer. For example, when bonding PE to steel, X17 may be used as a primer so that it can be bonded with an epoxy adhesive.
