Early in his career as a furniture restorer, PETER GEDRYS realized the key to fine finishes (pp. 42-46) lay in successful color-matching. This skill became the foundation for his business, Architectural Finishes (www .petergedrys.com). Peter also lectures about color and finishes at woodworking shows. In his spare time, Peter enjoys working with color in one of his many gardens and in winter is a goaltender in senior hockey.rnGoing from moldy crawlspaces to ultra-efficient homes, JAMIE LYONS ("16 Ways to Improve the Air YournBreathe," pp. 62-65) has spent his career studying houses and learning about the importance of indoor-air quality and ventilation. Jamie holds degrees in mechanical and environmental engineering, and enjoys the opportunity to understand how buildings work from both engineering and real-world perspectives. When he's not working with buildings (including his own home), Jamie spends time outdoors and hiking with his family.
