After 25 years of working in the finishing trade, Newport, R.I., native TIM LEAHY knows a thing or two about how to stain woodwork (pp. 48-52). He has trained at the Philadelphia Furniture Workshop and Mohawk Industries, and he moderates an online forum on architectural finishes for Homestead Finishing Products. While Tim loves the work he does as part of Kirby Perkins Construction's finishing team, his specialty and passion lie in historic reproductions of wood- and antique-furniture surfaces.
