Anni Tilt, a principal with Arkin Tilt Architects in Berkeley, Calif., designed our new home of the year (pp. 34-39) and focuses on sustainable design. Anni was previously on the board of the Ecological Building Network and is one of the founding members of the California Straw Building Association (CASBA). As a principal of CAST architecture, Matt Hutchins works to improve housing and to design great civic spaces. Before founding CAST, Matt worked as a design-builder. Matt, designer of our small house of the year (pp. 46-51), is an advocate for The 1 %, a group of architects helping community groups and nonprofits achieve their missions.
