Solitary splenic metastasis of ovarian carcinoma: Report of two cases

Capsular splenic metastasis from ovarian cancer, which nis associated with peritoneal spread, is not uncommon. nConversely, solitary involvement of the splenic paren-nchymal is unusual, and secondary debulking may nimprove the prognosis if there is no sign of residual ndisease. Thus, splenectomy is indicated for this type of nisolated splenic metastasis. We report two cases of suc-ncessful splenectomy for solitary splenic metastasis of novarian carcinoma and review the relevant literature.
