For the first time, wind power will have an exhibition area of its own at the Hannover Trade Fair. About 150 companies have registered for the event "Hannover Wind".rnGermany is no longer the world champion of wind power, but it is still the most important location for wind energy trade fairs. Since the once competing trade fair organizers began working together at the request of the industry, only one wind energy fair per year has taken place in Germany. Last year, it was the turn of Husum, now it is that of Hannover. From 20~(th) to 24~(th) April, the "Wind" will be held as part of the Hannover Trade Fair (Hannover Messe). This time, the wind energy exhibitors will not be placed in "Energy Hall 13". Instead, they will get an exhibition area of their own in Hall 27. This is alsornwhere the "World Energy Dialogue" will take place (see box on page 138).rnAs usual, Enercon has secured the largest exhibition space for itself. Fuhrlander, GE Energy, Nordex, Repower, Siemens and Vestas will also be present in Hannover. A few important manufacturers will be missing, for example Multibrid, Suzlon, Gamesa and Alstom (the owner of Ecotecnia since November 2007) as well as the Chinese producers.
