The Solrico agency has developed the International Solar Index (ISOL Index) which reflects the business climate of the global solar heating & cooling industry. Data from 222 companies in 41 countries formed the basis for the first ISOL Index.rnCurrently, only 60 % of companies in the global solar thermal industry are satisfied with their sales volume and the return on investment of their solar thermal business. To the question, "how satisfied are you with the current sales volume and return on investment of your solar thermal business," every third company answered either "fairly satisfied" or "dissatisfied" (see fig. 1).
