Vienna: 300,000 m~2 of collector area by 2020

On 21st January, the City Council of Vienna presented the Climate Protection Programme (KliP II) it had passed in December. According to the association Austria Solar, the programme envisages the installation of solar collectors with a total area of about 300,000 m2 in Vienna by 2020. Furthermore, it is planned to raise the district heating fraction in the city's heat supply to 50 %.
