Series: Photovoltaic research institutes worldwide

摘要

At the end of 2011, worldwide PV installation reached a capacity of 60 to 70 GW. This is a huge success for a technology that 25 years ago still was in its earliest stages. Behind the success stands the pioneering work of research institutes around the world. These institutes concentrated their efforts on making PV fit for a wide range of "real world" applications by their research as well as by founding spin-off and startup-companies.
