Ecobuild 2012, taking place in London from 20th to 22nd March, is an exhibition and conference with focus on sustainable design, construction and the built environment. Last year, the event was attended by over 55,000 design and construction professionals. Since its launch in 2005, the number of exhibitors has increased to over 1,500 suppliers in 2012, among them more than 60 companies from the PV sector. One of the major topics on the fair will be the significant cut of the UK feed-in tariff that was announced by the government in December 2011. "As the first major solar event of 2012, Ecobuild will provide a good indication of what the future holds for the UK market, and how installers are coping in the wake of the cuts," says Andreas Heinrichs, Managing Director of IBC Solar UK.
