Development of high performance 590N/mm!2 class steel plate with excellent weldability for building use

摘要

New high performance HT590 steel has been developed with low Pcm value by applying thermomechanical control process (TMCP) in order to improve weldability. Mechanical properties of base metal and welded joints have been investigated. It has been confirmed that this steel Meets target properties and the mechanical properties of welded joints are satisfactory for large heat input welding.
