In most sectors and nations, small and-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) make a significant contribution to economic growth. Part of this is attributed to their capacity to satisfy customer needs. And those able to efficiently meet evolving demands within global value chains (GVCs) become well positioned to enter international markets and increase profitability. Scope for SMEs to access new business opportunities has risen markedly with the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Such technologies enables generation of online and offline data that can facilitate social, technological and economic creativity.
