Since 2005, Indian oil companies, both in the public and private domains, have no doubt made significant strides and have made their presence felt in almost every part of the world. Although resources from overseas assets would comprise a relatively small portion of India's demand by 2020, it would nevertheless provide some relief for the country's burgeoning energy import bill.
