Celem artykułu jest próba analizy wpływu nakładów inwestycyjnych i wydatków rządowych na wzrost gospodarczy, a także siły oraz charakteru tych zależności na przykładzie krajów Unii Europejskiej (UE).%The article is an attempt to estimate the power and the character of investments influence and government expenditures on economic growth on the example of European Union Member States in years 1990-2005. In the first part of the article, the author made a review of theoretical macroeconomic models, in which the influence of government expenditures (disaggregated government expenditures on consumption and investment) and investments on economy growth rate and mutual dependence between government expenditures and private investments are analyzed. In the second part of the elaboration the statistic and econometric analysis are presented. These analyse are used to make an empirical estimation of power and direction of dependence between considered macroeconomic variables.
