Proceedings of the Forum Herbulot 2005 Tropical Geometridae: Collecting the biodiversity, and its virtual documentation (Paris, 19 February, 2005)

The (special) Forum Herbulot 2005 in Paris focussed on the biodiversity research in tropical Geometridae and the relevance of its documentation in collections and modern IT-based inventories. The five lectures in the seminar session highlighted the riches of the Tanzanian mountains (Darge), the diversity of the neotropical fortunata-group in the genus Pew (Leveque), and the latest newly described species represented in the collection Herbulot (Hausmann); results of recent research in the phylogeny of Drepanoidea were presented (Minet), and the full documentation of the type specimens of the collection Herbulot in the internet was explained (Hausmann). The original French versions of the abstracts to those lectures are given.
