As its subtitle suggests. Psychology of Space Exploration gives an overview of "contemporary research in historical perspective". The book, however, does not pretend to be a textbook on psychology of space exploration in general. Instead, it presents selected topics and focuses very much on crew aspects and this mainly from a US perspective. As a consequence, the research in psychology and behavioral sciences is largely related to the USA.
