Northrop Bidding for MDA Simulation Work

Northrop Grumman Information Systems and its teammate, Boeing Defense, Space and Security, submitted a bid March 11 to develop a comprehensive modeling and simulation architecture for the U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA), according to a March 11 Northrop Grumman press release. The MDA in recent years has increased its focus on modeling and simulation as part of its ballistic missile defense system test portfolio. The new Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) program seeks to integrate several existing hardware- and software-based modeling and simulation systems, the press release said. The prime contract is expected to be worth $595 million over five years, it said.
