Glory Satellite To Aid in Understanding Global Warming

A NASA climate-monitoring satellite is set to launch in late February on a three-year mission to improve scientific understanding of how the Earth's energy balance affects global warming. NASA's Glory satellite, which is equipped with a suite of instruments to measure solar output and particles in the Earth's atmosphere, arrived at Vanden-berg Air Force Base, Calif., on Jan. 11, in preparation for a planned Feb. 23 launch.
