Boeing's money-losing satellite systems division received a ringing endorsement from Boeing Chief Executive Harry Stoneciper April 28. Asked during a conference call with financial analysts whether it was worthwhile to hold on to a business whose current performance and near-term market is unhealthy, Stonecipher said Boeing was in the satellite business―including the commercial satellite business―to stay. "I don't care if they lose $40 million, $50 million or $100 million if they ge the stinking problems fixed," Stonecipher said during the conference call "Then we'll be on our way."
