Thoughts On The Future Of U.s. Space Exploration

Now that we have a new president-elect, one of the myriad of issues he will be faced with is what to do with NASA. I believe there are three basic questions the next administration needs to answer: 1. Should Mike Griffin continue as the NASA administrator? 2. Should the exploration program contin ue on its current path? 3. Should the space shuttle be retired in 2010? The simple answers are: yes, yes and yes. These questions are all integrally and directly related to the position of the United States as a world power by our position as a leader in space exploration. If this administration makes the correct decisions, it will enable the United States to continue to be the world leader in space exploration.
