Will Brexit jeopardize U.K.'s space growth ambitions?

The United Kingdom's ambition to control 10 percent of the global space market by 2030 is likely to hit several hurdles as the country departs the European Union. The U.K. government is heavily encouraging growth of the space industry, which is currently worth 13.7 billion British pounds ($17.7 billion) and growing at about 6.5 percent per year. But experts speaking at the Westminster Business Forum's Seminar on growing the U.K. space economy, which took place April 25 near London, agreed that some of the key prerequisites for sustaining such a growth are in jeopardy due to the changing relationship with the European bloc.
