Close to Home

I received flack from my June column, "Preparing for Contingencies," in which I used an actual business example to make a point about the broader financial conditions of the companies in which all of us work. Unfortunately, the example I used felt a little too close to home for some of those directly involved and I heard about it. Although I'm confident that neither the project, the companies nor the persons are readily recognizable to many, I apologize to my industry colleagues who raised the foul flag. I certainly intended no malice.
