摘要

The molar entropy of the organic matter of brown and hard coals and anthracites is determined from the contribution of C, H, O, N and S atoms with the subdivision of carbon atoms into aromatic C_(ar) and aliphatic C_(al) carbons. The numerical values of the contributions to the entropy were found from the data for individual compounds, which reflect the structural specificity of the organic matter of fossil coals. The specific (mass) entropy of coal is calculated with the use of the molecular mass of a fragment containing 100 carbon atoms. The calculated values are in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data on the entropy of coals.
