ULTRA-cool New Yorkers MGMT shook up the music scene in 2008 with their genre-jumping debut Oracular Spectacular, which featured the likes of Kids and Electric Feel.rnFollowing up on such a strong start was always going to be tough, but for the most part the band has achieved it with Congratulations. Much less accessible than their previous effort, this album goes heavy on psychedelic influences on a number of tracks, most notably Flash Delirium. It's Working is a lively opener, but it is obvious that the band have not made this record with chart success in mind - not that that's a bad thing. Stick with it and you'll be rewarded with an intelligent set of songs.
