CANONICAL EQUATIONS OF THE STATICS OF A GRANULAR MEDIUM UNDER THE MINOR INFLUENCE OF THE SPECIFIC WEIGHT OF THE SOIL AND SOLUTION OF THE PRANDTL PROBLEM

摘要

A canonical system of equations is derived for the limiting equilibrium of soils on the assumption of the minor influence of the weight of the soil itself. A closed solution is given for the problem of the relative pressure of a footing on a granular bed of a certain weight under large additional loads. It is demonstrated that the solution proposed can be used within a broad range of initial data for a vertically applied load.
