摘要

The main aim of the "Celano project" is to propose an interdisciplinary approach to seismic risk evaluation in urban areas. When working at urban planning, the choice of scale of the analyses and level of detail of investigations are critical points. Evidently, an adequate cost-benefit study is necessary to balance the need of analyses and the repeatability of the experience. In this project, particular attention has been devoted to calibrate essential basic and regional information to obtain reliable results adequate at the work scale of urban planning. The indicators of the seismic risk are not univocal. Generally the level of the expected damages, in term of building reconstruction/rehabilitation costs, number of victims and injured people are considered as indicators. According to the definition by The United Nations Disaster Relief Organization (UNDRO), the seismic risk is due to the convolution of hazard, local effects and vulnerability. Therefore the proposed methodology considers five main steps: identification of the "project earthquakes", reconstruction of the engineering geological model, geophysical characterization, evaluation of site effects, evaluation of seismic risk.
