Mountain bikes at twilight

A crowd of around 500 gathered at Kent Ridge Park in Singapore for the country's first evening mountain bike downhill competition, the Red Bull Dark Knights. Forecasted rain fortunately did not materialise, giving the 30 elite riders a chance to clock impressive timings on the challenging 300 metre course which snaked through the thick foliage. The event was won by Daniel Sprague of Australia, the former BMX world champion, who saw off home crowd favourite Tan Hong Chun and Indonesia's Hildan Afos Katana.
