CCI invests further in Iraq

Since iraq was re-opened to international beverage brands, the Istanbul-based multinational Coca-Cola Icecek (CCI) group has not only invested funds in production facilities in Northern Iraq but also indicated a strong desire to be active in Southern Iraq. Plans to make such a move last year were postponed because of procedural matters. CCI has now taken a sizable stake in Al Waha, a Southern Iraq company with two bottling plants and one pre-form production facility. The company's full name is Al Waha for Soft Drinks, Mineral Water and Juices LLC.
