Alberta regulators approve west-of-Edmonton transmission projects, rebuilds

The Alberta Utilities Commission on Aug. 12 approved a group of ntransmission projects and upgrades in the west-of-Edmonton area.nRegulators combined five applications into one docket, approving ntwo related AltaLink LP projects and two EPCOR Distribution and nTransmission projects. The AUC also approved an amendment to nthe approval of need from the Alberta Electric System Operator for nthe Edmonton-region 240-kV line upgrades, correcting a mistake in nwhere one existing line will end.
