ERCOT plans almost $8.7B in transmission investment over next 5 years

In the next five years, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas Inc. nis planning nearly $8.7 billion in transmission improvement projects. nOf the proposed transmission improvements, about $5 billion will go nto supporting 18,000 MW of renewable generation, ERCOT said in its nannual “Report on Existing and Potential Electric System Constraints nand Needs,” which was filed with the Public Utility Commission of nTexas on Jan. 13.
