EIA: Wind, gas additions to exceed coal power generation retirements in 2015

Texas and the Mid-Atlantic will be getting more than half of allnnew natural-gas-fired power plants in the U.S. in 2015, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said March 10, as older coalnplants continue to be retired because they will not meet the EPA’snMercury and Air Toxics Standards.
