State regulators write President-elect Trump seeking more input at EPA

Regulators from five different states have signed on to a letter offering President-elect Donald Trump a new vision for the U.S. EPA. Specifically, the states would like the incoming president to return environmental responsibility to the states and place a moratorium on any new regulations. The letter, crafted by North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality Secretary Donald van der Vaart, was also signed by Alabama Department of Environmental Management Director Lance LeFleur, Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality Director Jim Macy, North Dakota Department of Health and Environment Chief David Glatt and West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Randy Huffman.
