For July through September, the Weather Company is calling for warmer-rnthan-normal conditions in the eastern half of the U.S. as well as thernSouthwest, with below-normal temperatures eyed for the Pacific Northwest.rn“It has become clear that the anticipated El Nino event will likely notrnoccur, although there will likely continue to be a lot of subseasonal variabilityrnthat will result in a lack of long-term persistence of the heat across partsrnof the East,” Todd Crawford, chief meteorologist at The Weather Company,rnsaid in the outlook, released June 19. “We feel that the more persistent andrnsignificant heat will continue to found across the Southwest this summer,rnwith warm-leaning variability across much of the eastern half of the country.”
