Senate energy committee promotes, adds staff

The U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee has promoted or added several staff members, including a new senior counsel and a detailee from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Committee Chairman Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, announced the staff changes May 16. Severin Wiggenhorn was promoted from counsel to senior counsel and will concentrate primarily on oil and natural gas issues. Brianne Miller moved up from professional staff member to senior professional staff and energy policy adviser and will oversee work related to the U.S. Department of Energy.
