UHD in 2016: The Good, the Bad, and the Speculars

It is now four years since the International Telecommunication Union Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R) agreed on its initial Recommendation BT.2020. SMPTE has done very important work in ultra-high-definition (UHD) television (TV), including ST 2036-1, and a major study on the UHD ecosystem. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has recently produced a report on their requirements for UHD. But how far have we come since 2012? Where are we today?
