Aeolian geomorphical types in the coastal areas of the bohai and yellow seas and their evolution models

摘要

Based upon a comprehensive investigation into the aeolian geomorphic features, aeolian sedimentation, wind-sand disasters and land desertification hpenomena in the coastal areas of the Bohai and Yellow Seas, including field survey, mapping and measurements of aeolian-sand movement, the coastal aeolian geomorphic types are classified, the distribution patterns and mechanisms of formation of these features are identified. The study shows that the coastal aeolian features, wind-sand disasters and land desertification phenomena are mainly distributed over the sand coastal areas of the Bohai Sea and along the coast of northern Snadong Peninsula, where sand sources are abundant and the climatic environment in winter and spring is characterized by drought weather, frequent strong winds which last for a long period.
