There is type of residual oil-gas pools in present types of pools. These residual pools have good oil-gas showings in drilling, and in conventional log they are often interpreted as having promising pools. In this paper it is considered that such oil-gas pools are difficult to be interpreted only from reservoirs. A synthetic analyses of reservoirs and covers is a new line of thinking that starts from the pool-forming model of oil- gas migration, accumulation, storage and escape and places stress on the overall evaluation of oil-gas pools. A lot of researches show that this interpretation technique has a high successfulness.
