MAPLIN: First hydrographic survey vessel from CTruk, soon to make Thames debut

UK builder CTruk continues to transplant the knowledge it has accumulated in offshore wind farm support vessel design and construction into new avenues. Just two years after making its Significant Small Ships debut (in 2011) with the 18.5m crew transfer vessel CWind Athenia, the builder featured again in the journal with the completion of its prototype Twin Hulled Offshore Raider (THOR) model. This year, the group has stepped up to the plate with the January 2016 delivery of its first hydrographic survey boat to date.
