AIDAprima: Cruiseship with air lubrication

On 14 March 2016, AIDA Cruises took delivery of the 11th ship in the AIDA fleet from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. (MHI), Nagasaki, Japan. AIDAprima is the first of a new generation of cruiseships raising environmental protection standards. The newbuilds have an extensive filter system for reducing emissions, with an exhaust treatment technology that niters all three emission types - soot particles, nitrogen oxide, and sulphur oxide.
