How far to the flame? Getting to the Point in 2012

On May 18th, 2012 the Olympic torch arrives by plane from Greece at an airport near Land's End at the very tip of Cornwall. On the next day from Land's End it starts a 70-day journey around Britain. Carried by relays of local men and women, it traverses the British Isles by a zigzag route and on July 26th, 2012 ends up at Westminster in London, the day before the opening ceremony at the Olympic stadium on July 27th.
