Litening Pod Attaches to New Home

The U.S. Marine Corps is installing Litening Targeting Pod ATs on its Prowler aircraft so pilots can view an infrared image of a projected target in the cockpit of the aircraft. This is the first time this capability is being installed on this platform. The Litening Pod is a high-resolution, forward-looking infrared sensor that is used to survey the battlefield and relay the information to commanders on the ground.
