AFCEA was saddened to learn of the death of Maj. Gen. Tullio Bar-oni, ITA (Ret.), the first general manager of AFCEA Europe. Gen. Bar-oni served many years in the Italian Army and held several key communications roles in NATO. He took the helm of the nascent AFCEA Europe office at the request of AFCEA International President Vice Adm. Jon L. Boyes, USN (Ret.), in 1983.
