Search Engine Connects STEM Participants

The Office of Naval Research (ONR) has funded an educational search engine that brings together materials on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The site, Gooru , now is available as an app for the iPad and delivers multimedia resources to both students and teachers. According to Dr. Prasad Ram, founder and chief executive officer of Gooru, the partnership with the ONR goes beyond funding. The search engines developers "leverage all of ONR's experience in the STEM space to help define, develop and continuously innovate Gooru," Ram explains.
