Alliance Aims To Develop National Networking Grid

Past meets present, with an eye toward the future, in a scientific alliance formed to study advanced computational problems. The group's goal is to lead collaborative research teams in building a powerful computational problem-solving environment known as the national technology grid. Participating organizations— the National Computational Science Alliance and the National Partnership for Advanced Computational Infrastructure—have tackled such experiments as using an NT supercluster to simulate and solve Albert Einstein's theory of general relativity.
