Lynne Mills is the lead for new membership of the Tidewater Chapter. In this role she is responsible for all new member recruiting for individuals and companies for the chapter and works closely with AFCEA headquarters through participation with the AFCEA Membership Committee. In addition to her normal chapter duties, Mills is the main contract coordinator for the First Annual Tidewater Integrated Cybersecurity Symposium (TWICS), to be held in the summer of 2021. She is instrumental to contract construction for the venue, hotel, catering, exhibits, public addresses and security. Mills worked alongside AFCEA International to validate the contractual clauses were accomplished by means that protected the AFCEA brand and the chapter. She integrated the planning of the programming, robotics, security and marketing teams to ensure each was accounted for in the planning with the various contracts. When the inaugural TWICS was postponed one year by COVID-19, Mills communicated with the city, the venue and each of the contracted activities to ensure a smooth, contractually compliant postponement.
