Off to Nigeria

A vessel familiar to UK ports has been sold to new owners tor service in Nigeria. The waste disposal vessel Bran Sands (2,182gt), launched in 1970 by James Lamont of Port Glasgow, has been sold to Mettle Energy and Gas Ltd of Ikoyi, Nigeria. Her new owners specialise in offshore servicing and also tend offshore oil and gas developments. Her primary role will be to bunker ships off the Nigerian coast.
