NEW FLAMENCO PRONY ROLE

New flamenco (1972) has been sold to Club Cruise, as reported in February. The ship has been chartered to provide housing for employees of Goro Nickel SAS, at the port of Prony, New Caledonia, where she arrived on 30 December. Goro Nickel is responsible for the commercial mining of the major nickel and cobalt deposits on the Goro plateau on New Caledonia's main island. Construction of the 22 hectare complex began in 2005 and production to recover nickel and cobalt begins this year, hence the need for additional accommodation.
