The United State's newest oceanographic vessel, Okeanos Explorer, is expected to begin her shakedown cruises in the next few weeks following completion of extensive reconstruction work at two Washington state repair facilities, the Todd Shipyard in Seattle and the Puglia Shipyard in Bellingham.
